National Gallery

On Sunday morning, I went to National Gallery. The building is good and exhibition is also good. The most impressive paint is the one which is one of the Nina’s favorite paint.
The painting show a girl sitting at the table, and the room is so dark, so the light which is on the table light up the girl’s face impressively. I like that picture, because I feel quietness from that picture. But I forgot who painted it. I studied world history when I was in high school. So I know some famous painter’s name. But I appreciated good picture which was painted by the painter whose name I don’t know. I want to see not only the famous picture but also good picture which is not famous. And I think the museum is too big to see for an hour. So I think there is a lot of good painting I have seen yet in the museum.

Hello, Fumiha!
Walking around in the museum makes you lose the sense of time, doesn't it? Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed taking a look at the pictures! ^^

There are many paintings in the National Gallery which I particularly love. When you have seen a painting many times, it becomes special. Seeing it again is like visiting an old friend.

Back in Japan, you can see lots of the art in the NGA by visiting their website (the link is in the sidebar to the program blog) and taking a virtual tour of the collection.
